The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) released a notification to recruit lecturers in the state. The organisation have announced that it is looking for Lecturers to work in Government Degree Colleges in A.P. Collegiate Education Service. APPSC Lecturer Recruitment is being conducted to select 240 candidates for said posts.
APPSC has released the vacancy advertisement 17/2023 for these Lecturer positions. The candidates will be selected for subjects like Botany, Chemistry, Commerce, and many more. The online application process will start on 24 January 2024, and you can apply until 13 February 2024.
The recruitment authority plans to conduct a written exam for these vacancies in April or May 2024. More details, like how old you need to be to apply and what qualifications you need, will be available from January 24, 2024

APPSC Lecturer Recruitment Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Lecturer post, there are specific requirements that you need to meet:
- Master’s Degree: You must have completed a Master’s degree from a University recognized by the UGC (University Grants Commission) in the subject you want to teach.
- NET/SET Certificate: Along with your Master’s degree, you should also have a NET (National Eligibility Test) or SET (State Eligibility Test) certificate.
- Minimum and Maximum Age: Your age should be no less than 18 years and not more than 40.
- Age Relaxation: If you belong to a reserved category, there is an upper age relaxation per the Government of Andhra Pradesh rules.
When you apply for the Lecturer position, you need to pay some fees:
- Application Fee: ₹250
- Exam Fee: ₹120
- Payment Method: You can pay these fees through a debit card, credit card, NET banking, or UPI.
Important Note: General candidates must pay both the Application and Examination Fees. However, candidates from ST, BC, PBD & Ex-Servicemen categories, and Families with a White Card, only need to pay the Examination Fee.
