DU Recruitment 2024, Apply Online for Non-Teaching Vacancies

The Delhi University has invited candidates to submit online applications for the Non-Teaching post. The aspirants may apply for the 36 vacancies of Senior Technical Assistant, Technical Assistant, Laboratory Assistant, and Laboratory Attendant in the university. Interested and eligible candidates may use the official web portal, i.e. www.du.ac.in., to submit their online application forms for the DU Non-Teaching Recruitment 2024.

The online application process for the Delhi University Recruitment for the Non-Teaching Vacancies started on 11 January 2024. Initially, the last date for the submission of applications was 01 February 2024, but it was extended to 17 February 2024. A large number of candidates are showing interest in applying through the official recruitment portal of the university.

Educational Qualification
  • Senior Technical Assistant: Applicants need a B.E./B.Tech. in a relevant field or a three-year diploma with ten years of experience.
  • Technical Assistant: Requires a three-year diploma in a relevant field with five years of experience.
  • Laboratory Assistant: Candidates should have a three-year diploma or have passed the 10th class with ITI and relevant experience.
  • Laboratory Attendant: This position is open to individuals who have passed the 10th class with ITI and have two years of experience.
Age Limit
  • For Senior Technical Assistant, Technical Assistant, Laboratory Assistant – The upper age limit is 35 years of age.
  • For Laboratory Attendant – The upper age limit is 30 years of age.
Application Fee
  • For Unreserved Category Candidates – ₹1000/-
  • For OBC (NCL)/EWS and Women Category Candidates – ₹800
  • For SC/ST and PwBD Category Candidates – ₹600
Selection Process

The selection process for the Delhi University (DU) Recruitment 2024 for Non-Teaching posts consists of two main stages:

  • Written Test: Candidates will first undergo a written test, which is designed to test their knowledge, skills, and suitability for the respective roles. The written test lasts 2 hours, and it carries a maximum of 400 marks. The test comprises compulsory questions, with each question carrying 04 marks. There is a negative marking scheme where a 01 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
  • Skill Test: Shortlisted candidates will be invited to participate in a skill test following the written test. This test aims to evaluate the practical abilities of the candidates relevant to the job they are applying for. The skill test lasts 1 hour and includes questions worth 100 marks. The format may vary, including descriptive/MCQ-based questions and practical tests, depending on the specific requirements of each post.
