This exam aims to select suitable candidates for 6000 available positions in the Haryana Police Department, comprising 5000 for male constables and 1000 for female constables.

Eligibility Criteria

As the Notification says, we have mentioned the eligibility criteria below.

Age Limit

The applicants should be between 18 and 25 years old. There are options for age relaxation for specific categories like Scheduled Castes (SC), Backward Classes (BC), and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), as per government rules and regulations.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have completed 12th grade or equivalent from a recognized education board or institution.

Application Fee

No fee is required for the Constable vacancy.

Haryana Police Constable Selection Procedure

Physical Measurement Test (PMT)– It is qualifying in nature, meaning their scores will not be added to the final merit list. Here, the physical standards of candidates are assessed. For male candidates, the required height is 170 cm for the General category and 168 cm for the Reserved category. Female candidates are required to have a height of 158 cm for General and 156 cm for Reserved categories.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)- It is also qualifying, meaning applicants who clear the exam will be allowed to appear for the next stage, and no marks are awarded. Male candidates must complete a 2.5 km run within 12 minutes, while female candidates need to complete a 1.0 km run within 6 minutes.

Written Examination or Knowledge Test- This exam tests the candidates’ general knowledge, reasoning, and analytical abilities. The syllabus covers General Studies, General Science, Current Affairs, Reasoning, and Numerical Ability.

Document Verification Process- Here, candidates must present their original documents to verify their eligibility. This includes educational certificates, age proofs, caste certificates, and other documents mentioned in the notification.

Medical Examination- It is the final stage of the selection process. This is conducted to ensure that candidates are medically fit for the demanding duties of a police constable.
